One of my half sisters was diagnosed a few years ago with viral meningitis. As you all know it's very serious and you could die from it. My sister had just given birth and couldn't be near the baby.
One afternoon just by chance I got a long text message from my dad explaining everything that had happened. This sounded really serious at the time so I replied straight away asking 'did you put my name on the flowers'? He replied a few minutes later and said 'no you have to send your own as your over 18'. I was gobsmacked.
I went online and ordered some flowers to be sent to her house with a get well card. The following week I went to my dads house for dinner and what did I see on the mantelpiece ... a thank you card from my sister not including my name. I never got a thank you card from my half sister even from anyone on my dads side of the family.
Would you want a father like that? Would you want a family like that?
