Parents stealing your money without you knowing

How would you ever feel if your parents were 'stealing your money without you even knowing?

When I was 12 my parents set up a trust fund account based on all the invested wine I was selling. The thing is i wasn't allowed to tell anyone about it and now I know why! The trust fund was created for my future. There was enough money in there for university education and the rule was by time I was 21 all the remaining money would be transferred to me. I used my trust fund for a few things that got me through life such as upgraded musical instruments and some music summer schools.

Occasionally there would be a letter for my mother or my father with the initials L.C.B which was London City Bond where my wine was stored and I wasn't allowed to ask any questions about it. Time went by, I was in my 20s when I went to university I imagine some of my trust fund was used for further education perhaps it wasn't I will never know but I do remember my mother doing two things which were suspicious.

1 - every month she insisted on me logging into my bank account whilst she was there so she could check what I was spending.

2 - when I went to university I had to pay for halls and what she did was pay them by direct debit for the whole year and I had to give her the amount back which was most of my savings.

Who would have a family like this ?

One of my half sisters was diagnosed a few years ago with viral meningitis. As you all know it's very serious and you could die from it. My sister had just given birth and couldn't be near the baby.

One afternoon just by chance I got a long text message from my dad explaining everything that had happened. This sounded really serious at the time so I replied straight away asking 'did you put my name on the flowers'? He replied a few minutes later and said 'no you have to send your own as your over 18'. I was gobsmacked.

I went online and ordered some flowers to be sent to her house with a get well card. The following week I went to my dads house for dinner and what did I see on the mantelpiece ... a thank you card from my sister not including my name. I never got a thank you card from my half sister even from anyone on my dads side of the family.

Would you want a father like that? Would you want a family like that?

Cheap and bullied

As you read in the previous blogs I went to university quite late in life to get away from home. My father never contacted me but my mother always did at least twice a week on Skype to see how I was and to arrange a meeting. Sometimes she would travel a couple of hours to visit me but usually I would catch the train home for a couple of weeks.

One memory I have was telling my mother that I was coming to visit for about two weeks either she was lazy or totally forgot I was coming because when I arrived home my bed wasn't made, there was a mess of flies everywhere and an old used cup of hot chocolate was on the side table where I had left it 3/4 months ago.

My mother did have a cleaner but she was restricted in certain areas of the house which I never understood. Christmas was approaching so I went home for a few weeks. I gave my mother some nice gifts which she wanted (I can't remember what they were) but In return I had - a salt and pepper set, vegan chocolate and a potato cooker thing you put in the microwave.

I was shocked, I certainly wasn't expecting that! I asked her why and she said 'I didn't know you were  coming. I asked what she had got her boyfriend and she said a dab radio which is a laugh because  they are about £100 and he broke my old stereo and never apologised or offered to buy me a new one.

Why are parents such liars?

When will people learn not to lie? I've been to to all my life and mainly by my parents but this time I'm talking about my father keeping a huge secret from me till I was old enough to know.

My father had always told me he and been married twice and I believed him. I came across one of his photo albums and asked who the woman in the picture was and he said it was his first wife but I knew he was lying as the person in the photo looked nothing like her.

My parents were going through a rough time and were heading for a divorce. One night when I was about 16, my father told me that he had been married three times and I had an older half sister who he hasn't been in contact with since she was four years old. He told me she would then be in her late forties and maybe wanted nothing to do with him.

The next morning something happened. My father was actually crying and holding a long letter in his hand and panicking. The letter was actually from the long lost daughter who was trying to find him. They spoke on the phone and exchanged letters a few times and I even met up with her and her kids and husband twice.

Just before my parents divorced I went into my dads bedroom and found a card that was ripped in half and put into the trash. I was shocked had they had a row? They were such a lovely family. I asked my father what had happened and he said he wanted to keep away from her and never mention her name again.

I still want to know what's happened to him. She found him after all these years and he's just rejected her for no reason. He also told me I have an older brother who was put up for adoption at birth in London if anyone knows anything about this please contact me.

Spain my vacation from hell

Spain The Vacation From Hell and probably the shortest one in my life!

I was 16/17 years old and the summer vacation was coming near. My mother suggested that I spent

it with my father, partner and his partners granddaughter. I wasn't really that keen but I didn't want

to be left in the house for two weeks on my own.

The night before I started packing and got everything I needed for the two weeks we were going

away for. We were going to stay in a small villa in Andalusia. The pictures looked nice and the area

was very remote with a small pool outside. As you know I had a trust fund account which was made

for my future. For some reason my dad paid for the vacation and then I had to give him my share of

the money from my own trust fund. In other words it wasn't a family vacation. Apparently her

granddaughter had to pay her share as well. I don't understand it. My dad and his partner went away

for most of the year on cruises and they wanted me to pay them!

That night my dad drove to the side of the house to pick me up and I accidentally bashed the rear

door against the wall. It was totally his fault as there was a huge space of driveway but he always

parked near to the wall. He then started yelling at me saying was my fault, even his partner agreed.

We drove to their home had dinner and I was sent to bed at around 8:30pm.

The following morning we all got up early (I really don't know why) and we drove to Cardiff which is

only two hours away. We met up with my dads partners daughter and granddaughter. We went back

to the hotel. The granddaughter shared with her mother and I had to share with my dad and his

partner.

The following morning we all took out flight out from Cardiff to Malaga. We arrived at the airport

and went to get our hire car. For some reason my dad had hired a manual transmission car which he

hasn't used in years so all the way from Malaga airport to the villa the gears were clunking, the

granddaughter was yelling at my dad and there was our first row of the vacation before we even

arrived there.

We arrived at the villa and settled down for a few hours then we went out for a meal. After the meal

we went to a grocery store to get what we needed food wise for the one or two weeks we were

supposed to be there for. My dad spent about two hundred euros in food for the four of us. Every

aisle he went down the granddaughter would always tell him of for buying unhealthy foods.

Surprisingly there wasn't a row there but there soon was...

That evening over dinner outside at about 7pm hell struck! We all sat round the table for dinner and

my father started talking with his mouthful. The granddaughter told him off for eating with his

mouthful and my father got into a rage and his response was 'your mother had the filthiest bathroom

I've ever seen in my life'!

That was it, i knew the vacation was going to be over and it was. The following morning we all flew

back home and left all the food to the travel rep.

17 th birthday shock horror

My birthday was coming up and I was going to be 17. Both my parents asked me what I wanted. I didn't particularly want anything so I said to them that I didn't want anything.

My parents had recently divorced so I didn't expect much anyway. My birthday soon came and I
was looking forward to opening my gifts. I was expecting a gift coupon to buy something with but
unfortunately when I opened the box I stared blank.

My dad had recently brought my mother a brand new car (don't ask me why) and the car was
fitted with a radio/cassette player. My birthday present was a CD player for my mothers car!

Number 1 - I couldn't drive

Number 2 - it wasn't fitted properly

About 3/4 years later my mother upgraded her car and guess what! My birthday gift went with it.
